SSI SCHAEFER centralized a warehouse allows MTI to concentrate all logistical operations in one place. The storage and picking system is designed to simultaneously handle two product groups: shoes and electronics.
At the same time, the new material flow concept smoothes seasonal peaks of incoming goods, which are three or four timeshigher than the annual average.
The warehouse was set up by SSI SCHÄFER within only eight months. The decentralized warehouses allowed MTI to reduce storage space by 50 – 60 % and staff by 30 %.
